The previous movie clip looks simple, but it is very complex, really. Every item in the scene is a program that has to be installed: the doll character, her clothes, hair, the seat, piano, stage and even the cameras and lights. After installing the dozen or more programs, they have to be positioned using co-ordinates x,y,z for position and then again for rotation. 0,0,0 is the very center. 400, 0, 723 is where they are and the same for the rotation which means head, each arm, leg must be set with numbers. Then we have to install sound programs and integrate them with the movements. The oddest thing happened to me during a rehearsal before shooting a scene: the lights went out. I was shocked at first. How could a light bulb burn out in a virtual matrix of programs and settings? But the light program crashed and I had to uninstall it and then re-install another light, and then assign it co-ordinates so that it would shine on the subject.
But honestly, the hardest part is creating something for the character to do. The script writing! Everything starts with creative writing.
