Sunglasses At Night

Little Noname Cat sang the newer song and Icy sang the older song.

So Icy's song is "The Future's So Bright I Gotta wear Shades" and No-Name's is "Sunglasses at Night."
Funny thing about "The Future's So Bright..." is that it's touted as being this happy, upbeat song but it's actually kind of a curmudgeon song. It was actually written as a commentary about the threat of nuclear war. The "brightness" was a nuclear blast.

I got educated here today by Lily. I didn't know about the meaning of My Future's So Bright. I still love that song.

Thanks for the info Lily. I was confused there for a while. Interesting background about the older song.

I love both songs, too, and even though I sensed the irony, I didn't know they had a nuclear blast in mind. Thanks Lily!

Thanks to Little Noname too for singing one of my fave songs.
